Getting Spiffed Up for the Train Show
To prepare the HO scale and N scale modules, the division staged a work session over the weekend of February 28th – March 1st. From memory, here is a non-exhaustive list of items worked on: Some pics:
Dakota Southeastern Division’s Traveling Model Railroads
There are two sections of the division, HO and N scale. Each sections has it’s own traveling trailer. The T-Trak modular traveling section of the DSED is made up of many ‘N’ gauge sections that can be set up in many different configurations depending on the space available. Our trailer travels to many midwestern cities in several states each year for various events and train shows. These events are always well attended and especially enjoyed by the kids, while many times bringing back many memories for the older generation too. Submitted by Randy G Deutsch
Com-Ed / Model Railroad 101 Program Pics
Visit our Com-Ed Page here for for details and how to register! One of the projects the division does twice per year is to sponsor community education classes at the city’s Com-Ed program. Registered students receive a 12″ X 24″ T-Trak module for ‘N’ gauge size trains. All of the supplies needed to build their own module are supplied by the DSED division. They build their own module during the 4-week, one night per week course restricted only by their own imagination. This class is held twice per year.
